Masonry Contractors Ask for Affordable Health Coverage:

Attracting, motivating and retaining talented and loyal employees can be a daunting task for any masonry contractor operating in North Carolina or any state for that matter. A competitive wage is just one part of an employee's total compensation package.  Recently a survey informed the NCMCA Board of Directors that an Association medical plan would be a welcomed benefit to the members of the NCMCA.

On December 17, 2007, the Board of Directors approved the motion to allow a very unique fully insured plan to be marketed and to prosper among the NCMCA membership. This fully insured plan is owned by the members of the NCMCA and overseen and governed by a Board of Trustees to keep the members' best interests in mind.

As you know, the sharp rise in medical premiums represents a significant short-term and long-term challenge for all Masonry Contractors, Builders, and Manufacturers of goods and for those companies providing services.

Reducing the impact of health insurance premiums takes a unique arrangement and partnership of leading health insurance companies and professionals, ranging from plan administrators, pharmacy vendors, and a network of physicians that have meaning in our state.  The NCMCA plan has these.

The marketing arm for the Association needs a team of insurance professionals who understand the health insurance industry, and who know the vendors in the marketplace. These endorsed marketers will be innovative problem solvers for NCMCA members to lean on for expert services, and insurance consultation. The NCMCA plan has these as well.

Most importantly, the NCMCA plan needs the support of NCMCA members that are concerned about changing the dynamics of current health insurance trends. If the NCMCA members bind together collectively and forge a chain that cannot be broken, the NCMCA medical plan will flourish and prosper year after year. Corrective actions in medical spending can be solved by introducing prudent benefits which can aid in reducing premiums charged, and reduce renewals year after year.
